On Sunday August 18th 2019 we welcome you to the capital of gravel riding! We have nearly 7000 km of gravel roads in the proximity so this is the perfect opportunity to peek into the gravel bonanza the greater Helsinki area has to offer.
There are no mountains here but you can still expect to gain more than 2000 meters of elevation during the long loop.
The not-so-official SM Kisat (Finnish Championship) is 135 kilometers and includes anything from muddy single-track, to gravel fire roads and short tarmac sections.
The Finnish Champion is crowned (no, it's not gold) based on a timed segment on the full 135km distance.
